We cannot wait to meet all the amazing potential new members (PNM’s) coming through Formal Recruitment this fall! Every sorority member at Western University shares the recruitment experience in common; through this weekend, you can make lifelong friendships.

During the recruitment process, you will meet the women of each organization at Western. Even if you are unsure if the Greek System is right for you, Formal Recruitment alone is a great way to meet new friends and learn about the sororities at Western. Involvement in Greek life provides students with a wide variety of opportunities to develop leadership skills, achieve academically, and increase involvement in the community through various service and philanthropy activities. Additionally, Greek membership can help make the transition to university smoother for students by providing a support system found through the camaraderie of the Greek community and creating lifelong friendships.

Nervous about recruitment? Don’t be! All of your questions can be answered here, but just in case, here are some helpful tips as you go through the Recruitment process.

1. Be yourself: Let your personality shine through! We love that every member of Kappa Alpha Theta is unique and true to herself.
2. Keep an open mind: Come to Recruitment with an unbiased and positive outlook on each chapter. This will allow you to pick the sorority that is right for you!
3. Get to know people: Formal Recruitment is an excellent opportunity to meet each member of the Greek community and fellow potential new members who could become your sisters for life!
4. Ask questions: It is important to understand what the Greek system can add to your university
5. Have fun: Enjoy yourself, and see you all in the fall!!
